摘要：
A complete analytical approach is used to obtain the solution of a classical damped quartic anharmonic oscillator. As special cases, the solution gives rise to the standard available solution. The present approach is capable of dealing with the problem of an anharmonic oscillator of arbitrary order of anharmonicities. The solution higher orders in anharmonic constant is successfully achieved. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
