Study of mechanism of preparation of 2,6-DMN from coal tar using m-nitrobenzoic acid

摘要
By means of infrared(IR) spectra, X-ray diffraction(XRD), High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC) and microscope, reaction mechanism of extraction of 2,6-dimethylnaphathalene(2,6-DMN) from coal tar using m-nitrobenzoic acid (m-NBA) was studied. The results showed that 2,6-DMN was induced by 2 m-NBA to form solid melt other than new substance, therefore it was separated from other dimethylnaphthalenes(DMNs).
