Novel Single Phase Doubly Salient Permanent Magnet Machine with Asymmetric Stator Poles

摘要
One novel 4/6 stator/rotor single phase doubly salient permanent magnet machine with asymmetric stator poles is proposed in this paper. Design optimization technique based on 2D finite element analysis (FEA) is used to refine the proposed machine. Besides, comparison of electromagnetic performance indexes of the proposed machine with that of traditional 4/6 stator/rotor single phase doubly salient permanent magnet machine with uniformly distributed stator poles is also presented. It indicates that the proposed machine has much higher torque, lower core losses, and higher efficiency than those of traditional one.
