From the advance of the agricultural border to comunitarian forest management: The district of Peten in Guatemala

摘要：
In the district of Peten (Guatemala), the Reserva de la Biosfera Maya was created as an answer to the double challenge of earth pressure and environment's protection. Against a conservative official politic, comunitarian organizations built a front that acts in the local plan in order to establish a model of comunitarian forest concessions, as well as in national and international ones.
