Numerical simulation of turbulent flows over a new type of reef breakwater with perforations by the k-ε turbulence model

摘要
The hydraulic characteristics around a new type of reef breakwater with perforations were evaluated by numerical and experimental study. Good agreements were obtained between the calculated values by k-epsilon turbulence model and experimental data for the wave height, the wave setup and the wave energy loss. it was found that vorticities generated over the present breakwater had a major effect on the wave height reduction.
