摘要
Sorbents such as limestone are successfully used for removal of SO2 during pressurized fluidized bed combustion (PFBC) processes. However, there still remains a strong incentive to reduce the consumption of such sorbents. This necessitates a better understanding of the mechanism of sulfur removal at elevated pressure. In this study, the capacity of sulfur capture of two limestones and also the kinetics for direct sulfation were investigated under PFBC conditions. The effects of total pressure, temperature acid the partial pressure of SO, on direct sulfation of the limetones are presented. Finally, predictions made from a mathematical model agreed well with the experimental data.
