摘要
The use and rational exploitation, cost-effective and sustainable the maritime resources of a country requires the proper characterization of the maritime climate. Knowledge of wind, waves, tidal flows and currents presented in a zone is essential for the development of activities such as design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure maritime and port; operational in ports and marinas; determination of navigation routes; planning activities coast outside and civil protection among others. This characterization is appropriate, requires two fundamental activities: measurement in field of meteorological and oceanographic variables, and the development of numerical models that adequately validated allows it to be useful for the above-mentioned activities predictions. In marine engineering, the modeling of the waves has been one of the main lines of research; much of the efforts have guided the development of numerical models to reproduce the generation of the waves by the action of the wind and its spread to the coast. The present paper will discuss the development of the continuous applying the coscalogram representation for time series simultaneously acquired. One such tool is the Wavelet Transform (WT) that uses local orthogonal functions, that change in frequency and magnitude, which allows viewing the characteristics of the transitional local found in the signal.
