Spin dynamics of excitons in CdTe-Cd1-xMnxTe double quantum wells

摘要
Dynamics of spin-polarized excitons was studied in coupled quantum wells of Cd0.95Mn0.05Te and CdTe by time resolved photoluminescence. Spin-polarized excitons created in the magnetic quantum well of Cd0.95Mn0.05Te in magnetic field were diffused and injected to the non-magnetic quantum well of CdTe by conserving their spins. The spin polarization of excitons in the non-magnetic well reached 17-33 % depending on the thickness of the magnetic well. From the transient circular polarization degree and the lifetime of excitons, the spin relaxation of excitons in the magnetic and nonmagnetic wells is discussed.
