Control of primary α phase morphology in beta metastable titanium alloys

摘要
Primary α phase content, morphology and distribution are important microstructural parameters to control during thermal and thermomechanical treatments of titanium alloys. The resulting mechanical properties are dependent on these parameters. The primary α phase is mainly formed during the first sequences of the thermomechanical treatments. The parameters of the thermomechanical treatments which affect the primary alpha phase formation are investigated.
