摘要
This paper uses the multiple antenna modulation technique called Space Shift Keying (SSK), which is a ordinary low-RF complexity and energy efficient technique when it is compared with conventional Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) wireless systems. In SSK, the blocks of data that are encoded to the index of a specific transmit antenna. For data transmission, SSK requires large number of antenna elements at the transmitter. SSK is especially useful for the downlink of cellular systems. In the transmitting antenna array, only one antenna element is switched on while other antenna elements do not radiate any power. In this paper, the concept of Distributed Space Shift Keying (DSSK), is a relay-aided scheme, which is used to make SSK useful for uplink of cellular networks. In this network, relays act as virtual antenna elements for the source node. Two different detection schemes, namely Maximum Likelihood (ML) at relay node and Maximum A posteriori probability (MAP) at destination nodes are used. The contribution of this paper is to formulate an analytical framework using DSSK scheme in uplink cellular network. The main objective of this paper is to analytically derive the Pair-wise Error Probability (PEP) at the destination nodes for MIMO based distributed relay network with reduced system complexity.
