摘要
The main objective of this work is to design a body shape for a car which will participate in Shell Eco Marathon, 'Urban Concept' category. The body should fit a welded frame inside and fulfill all regulations of Shell Eco Marathon, as well as fit functional requirements of a car. The body must have the best possible aerodynamic performance to minimize air resistance to vehicle movement and consequently fuel consumption. During the project, the body shapes were created using the knowledge from literature. Models were designed using CATIA V5R17 CAD/CAM software and tested in order to asses their aerodynamic performance using COSMOS FloWorks. The investigation was focused on the airflow behavior around body elements and on overall predicted aerodynamic performance.
