摘要：
Today's communication systems require advanced services that proprietary platforms can't provide without considerable development effort. Consequently, standard platforms have become essential. However, these platforms usually lack the real-time support that such embedded systems generally require. Linux provides an effective way of building such systems. At Alcatel, an RTLinux extension has been used to support the company's OXO platform.
