Modeling Rumor Spreading with Repeated Propagations in Multilayer Online Social Networks

摘要
Online social networks have been getting closely cooperation and increasingly dependent on each other to achieve better popularity and efficiency. Unfortunately, novel security threats are emerging as the cooperation and interdependence contribute to forming the multilayer online social networks. In multilayer networks, the rumor also takes the opportunity to spread more efficiently than that in single-layer network. Rumor spreading in single-layer networks has drawn considerable attention. However, spreading processes in multilayer networks were developed only recently. In this paper, concerning the public will confront more repeated rumors in multilayer networks, the SIHR rumor spreading model, which considered a "hesitate" psychological state, is proposed to study the dynamical process of rumor. The mean-field equations are derived to describe the rumor spreading process. After theoretical and experimental analysis, the performances of rumor spreading with various parameters in SIHR model are illustrated. As a result, some feasible security strategies are drawn.
