Formulas, which can be used for acceptance of the correct decision at a choice of geometrical and mechanical parameters of pipes and safe modes of operation of the pipeline are given. One of possible methods of strength assessment of the main pipeline section in view of hydroimpact is offered. The algorithm of calculation is given.
