摘要
The article offers an analytical reflection on the ecumenical document From Conflict to Communion. Lutheran-Catholic Common Commemoration of the Reformation in 2017. It specifically addresses how the person, theology, and Reformation work of Martin Luther are presented in the document. This reflection also extends to addressing the question of whether and to what extent this presentation corresponds to past and present Roman Catholic views of the Reformer and the Wittenberg Reformation, as expressed through the opinions of the institutional leaders of the Roman Catholic Church. The author concludes that despite the positive results of the evangelical-Roman Catholic dialogue and the openness of the Catholic Church authorities towards Luther, his person, doctrine and Reformation pose a problem for the Roman Catholic Church, the resolution of which is still to come.
