Heat capacity of a hydrogen subsystem in metal-hydrogen systems

摘要
The general formula is obtained that gives the relation between the heat capacities at constant volume and constant pressure for hydrogen subsystem in metal-hydrogen systems. The dissolution heat is calculated; it appears in this formula and, as demonstrated, it is not constant and depends on temperature and pressure. The state equation is obtained that links the hydrogen pressure in a gaseous phase, the hydrogen concentration in a metal, and the temperature. As shown, the temperature dependence fits satisfactorily with experimental dependence, which has a maximum in the temperature, range of 500-600 K. This maximum is demonstrated to be associated with a transfer of dissolved hydrogen atoms to the over-barrier states As the temperature is increased.
