摘要
The large part of the concrete bridges of the federal trunk roads until now shows a life time of 30 to 50 years. As a result there is an increasing number of damages. Moreover, the traffic loads have increased continually. Therefore, the strengthening of the bridges gains in importance. In the paper, the effects of the present and future heavy traffic with higher total weights as well as increased axle loads are presented. Typical applications for the strengthening of concrete bridges are shown in connection with global and local strengthening methods.
