Cosmic ray in Saudi Arabia and future vision

The number of astronomical researchers in Saudi Arabia has increased in the last twenty years. This increase leads to a new astronomical research being developed in the country either by the Saudi researchers or in joint programs with some international project. Detecting the cosmic ray is considered to be a new filed of research in the country. Optical astronomy, solar and lunar studies and site testing were the main field and of the researchers in Saudi Arabia. The idea of establishing such a field of studies has begun last year (2001), eventually a cosmic ray center has been established and will start its first activities by running a single channel muon detector. In this paper a brief description of the application and future projects of cosmic ray in Saudi Arabia are presented.
