摘要
A particularly stressful experience for the daily life of parents is to take care of a child afflicted with a chronic disorder. Autism or the Asperger syndrome, as well as the daily stresses linked to the child's handicap, have a major effect on the quality of life of the entire family. This situation requires the use by the family of adaptation strategies in order to deal with the repercussions of the child's trouble in the different domains of everyday life, and this adjustment depends on several psychosocial factors. The interest now given to the quality of life in families with a child suffering from autistic troubles or the Asperger syndrome is rather recent and still quite limited. The aim of this article is thus to evaluate the current state of knowlege concerning the experience of such families.
