A Review of the Research on the Nearly Sixty-year Yi-ology History in Chinese Mainland

In recent sixty years, Yi-ology research in China mainland formed a special character on account of various factors, so it has an important academic meaning to review and summarize the Yi-ology history. Image-number Yi was emphasized again, meanwhile, meaning-pattern Yi was developed from existing tradition to a new form in the modern language context, such as the new research field of Yi-ology on science. Studies on the excavated documents of the Yi-ology became a hot research topic and noted school of thought. Studies of Yi-ology history made a great achievement. At the same time, there are problems in the above studies, which awake the introspection in academic field.
