摘要
The aim of the paper is to describe the attitudes to identifying and developing talents in Slovak enterprises. The research in developing talents in the business environment is based on two research questions: 1. We assume every business pays attention to their key employees and organizes all activities to promote their development. 2. Businesses pay attention to succession planning, the aim of which is to ensure the continuity of talents for key positions defined. For purposes of statistical processing, we used manual processing and automated programs. The research results indicate that although the theory of talent management and its instruments is elaborated both in foreign and domestic sources, it is implemented in practice in the scope described in the sources only in some enterprises in the Slovak Republic. The paper is a partial result of the authors' output from the research project KEGA 006EU-4/2013 - "Methods and principles applied in the preparation of structure and content of subject disciplines supporting the development of economics knowledge and business skills in students of non-economic Master's study programs."
