摘要
In his article "Narrating Animal Suffering in Ye Guangqin's Animal Stories,"Chao Xie analyzes animal suffering depicted in the contemporary Chinese writer Ye Guangqin's animal story collection The Tiger Dafu (2004). Through reading the interconnected suffering of animals and humans represented in Ye's works, Xie argues that Ye expresses an attitude of posthumanism which is needed to examine animal suffering. The shared victim hood between animals and humans in Ye's works, which is largely due to the process of Chinese modernization, provides a new insight into the idea of the Anthropocene.
