摘要
The feasibility of a compact Fourier-Transform-Imaging-Spectrometer (FTIS) for small satellite terrestrial remote sensing missions or planetary remote sensing applications is currently being studied under ESA contract. Compared to classical hyperspectral imagers using dispersive spectrometers the major advantages of the FTIS is the compact optics module and the higher detector temperature, thus easing the instrument thermal design. The feasibility of this concept will be demonstrated by breadboarding.
