THE EUTECTICS OF INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE

As part of this study a new concept is introduced to comparative thesaurus, which characterizes the space of intercultural dialogue. The term "eutectics" is borrowed from physical systems theory by the author. For example, the formation and development of intercultural interaction between psychoanalysis and Buddhism demonstrates the dramatic process of intercultural dialogue. This drama is that each participant will inevitably have the anxiety of cultural identity. Cultural incorporation partly "blurs" the identity of the border and at the same time forms a defensive reaction aimed at the reduction of anxiety. Both dialogue participants have an individual status - a set of features and characteristics of a given culture. In the dialogue, intercultural dialogue space, these statuses are inevitably reduced, the dialogue "flows" into the eutectics. The consequences of the dialogue between psychoanalysis and Buddhism demonstrates the regression of the mutual space; as in the case of psychoanalysis and Buddhism, these are attempts to integrate Buddhist views into western psychotherapeutic compendiums.
