Family counseling at the beginning of the school stage from a psychological-pedagogical approach

摘要
The family is considered the first and most important socializing system in the integral development of the personality. For children, it is the group in which a strong sense of belonging is identified and developed, where they face and try to solve, in close coexistence, the problems of daily life. In the educational practice it was found that, in many cases, there were difficulties during the normative crisis of the beginning of the school stage. That is why the present investigation is aimed at guiding the families of the school children of the "Antonio Lopez Fernandez" primary school of the Holguin municipality to face the entrance of their sons and daughters to school. Diagnostic and guidance methods were used that allowed the achievement of transformations in parenting styles, communication mechanisms and resources, as well as the family's relationship with the school institution.
