摘要
This paper presents an investigation of the pressure development of journal bearing in radial velocity variations using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) approach. The comparative analysis using cavitation and no-cavitation model are examined. It is found that in the case of "no-cavitation," the prediction of the pressure profile in the bearing leads to an overestimation compared to the case of "cavitation." In addition, the simulation result shows that the radial velocity of the journal has a significant effect in increasing the pressure development.
