摘要：
The AlpTransit 'Working Group on Aerodynamics & Climate' is conducting measurements and basic research to improve temperature and humidity predictions for the Swiss AlpTransit Base Tunnels. The main problems encountered in the simulation of the tunnel climate are presented together with the progress achieved by the Working Group and the approach to solve the still open questions. Three items are discussed in detail: The importance of heat removed by trains as a result of the warming up of the train structure during its journey through the tunnel. The effect of the infiltration of water on the simulation of rock temperatures. The influence of air humidity as an important consideration in relation to a cost effective and safe operation of a railway tunnel.
