Psychometric considerations in self-monitoring assessment

摘要：

The application of psychometric concepts of accuracy, reliability, and validity to the evaluation of self-monitoring as an assessment procedure is described. Examples from the literature are used to illustrate both the procedural application of these concepts and their importance in ensuring the utility of self-monitored data for a variety of purposes. Common threats to accuracy, reliability, and validity are briefly discussed.
