摘要
In this paper; we present the management of mobile switching center (MSC) trunks and trunk groups in cellular and personal communications systems (PCS) networks. We discuss platform-centered network management approaches based on simple network management protocol (SNMP) and common management information protocol (CMIP). We also describe the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA*) solution for distributed computing and implementation of distributed objects based on Object Management Group (OMG) Interface Definition language.* CORBA appears to provide a better backbone for manager and agent applications than CMIP. In higher-level designs, the manager and agent applications can be adapted to a CMIP-style interface.
