摘要
Self-compacting concrete was first developed 1988 in order to achieve durable concrete structures. Since then, various investigations have been carried out and the concrete has been used in practical structures in Japan, mainly by large construction companies. SCC has been used mainly in large scale construction, concrete products. Recently, application to tunnel lining has been increasing due to the durability problem. Investigations on a rational mix-design method, self-compactability testing methods and dispersing mechanism of superplasticizer have been carried out from the viewpoint of making it a standard concrete. In addition to Japan, investigations have started in many countries especially western Europe, and it has been applied to practical structures especially in Sweden, Netherlands and Taiwan. Recommendations and manuals for self-compacting concrete were established in Japan.
