摘要
Among the French poets of the 16th century, Jean-Antoine de Baif (1532-1589) stands as the most involved one in the aesthetic research to unite poetry and music, and the most involved in a personal collaboration with the musical milieu of his time. As for Claude Le Jeune, he seems to be the most important of the musicians connected with Baif, at least if it is judged by the number of the remaining works he wrote in collaboration with Baif. The exact terms and conditions of this collaboration, however, have still to be determined. The aim of this article is three-fold and complement the biographical and bibliographical researches carried out as part of the project to publish Baif's collected works: to date his relations with Le Jeune, and their activity at the Academie de Poesie et de Musique in particular; to establish the corpus of the works they wrote together; and finally to define some of the main aesthetic and ideologic stakes.
