Dilatation investigation of porous intermetallic samples during reversible hydrogenation

摘要
Results of the dilatation investigation of the porous samples LaNi4Al, Laves phase Zr0.194Co0.07 Fe0.067Cr0.076V0.181Ti0.145Ni0.276 and TiNi during cyclic hydrogenation are presented. The deformation is shown to have partially or completely reversible character. The reversible deformation is determined by the physical and chemical nature of the material and does not depend on the geometrical and technological parameters of the system. The irreversible deformation is caused by the particle pulverization and its value is the measure of the material destruction during hydrogenation-dehydrogenation. The phenomenon of the deformation hysteresis connected with the hysteresis of the direct reverse phase transformation has been discovered.
