摘要：

In support of ESA's Mission Advisory Group for ROSE-L (Radar Observing System for Europe at L-band), a project team consisting of experts from operational ice services, universities and research institutes has been investigating the benefits of using data from L-band SAR in addition to C-band SAR imagery for monitoring of sea ice and detection of icebergs. The project work is still ongoing. Here, we introduce the technical background and present first results.
