摘要：
This essay analyzes Gender issues in relation to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. First, it refers to the Millennium Development Goals as antecedent to the SDGs. Then, it is related how the need arose to think about a new world development where the empowerment of women and girls is essential. The progress and challenges of the SDGs are discussed below, examining the progress and challenges in mainstreaming the gender approach. Finally, the role of the SDGs and gender in the context of the pandemic COVID - 2019 is reflected.
