THE OPPORTUNITIES OF BUILDING OF ECO-COMMUNITIES IN RURAL AREAS

The main aim of this article is to propose possibilities for creating ecological communities (Eco-community) in the rural environment. The second aim of this article is to explain the life of Eco-communities in relation to the constant sustained growth. Additionaly the article provides theoretical background on constant sustained growth, its historical progress and its local and global dimensions. The examples of real, functional Eco-communities confirm the connection with the principles of constant sustained growth of human settlements. The philosophy of permaculture, as one of the possibilities in the creation of Eco-communities, is also explained in the article. Among the alternatives we describe the investment project model for eco-suburbs and its community planning using the tools of environmental management and Local Agenda 21. The last paragraphs were dedicated to spatial - functional analysis and a description of community survey for a model area. After the survey was completed a proposal plan of action was developed and its results were included in the swot analysis of the model area.
