摘要
Increasingly people demand complete access to available information from heterogeneous and distributed data resources. There is a need to provide solutions that integrate information from different sources and make them available for application queries. In this paper, we present a multi-layer ontology framework for distributed information integration and query. The structure of information integration is divided into four layers: distributed data sources layer, local ontology layer, domain ontology layer and global ontology layer. The goal of the Information integration was to provide a uniform query interface to a multitude of data sources. Query is based on global ontology, and the semantic conflict can be solved automated in the query process.
