摘要
Microgrid upgradation problem with renewable energy sources and energy storage have gained much attention in recent years. To guarantee economical, reliable and secured operation of Microgrids, the installed Battery energy storage must be optimally sized. However few vital factors have great impact on accuracy and realism of BES size determination are normally un noticed. These factors include characteristics of different BES technologies, number of charging/discharging cycles, degradation and management of Microgrid operating modes. Numerous research have been performed in BES sizing for different MG configurations using a variety of criteria and methods. This paper gives an overall review of various methodologies in battery sizing problem, sizing criteria and its applications in MGs environment. From this study, it is clear that most of the sizing problem is defined in Mixed-Integer Non linear multi constraint optimization programming. In addition, this paper provides a general note on problem formulation, tools/software used and features of various methodologies.
