摘要
We analyze pattern formation in a reaction-diffusion model of the activator-inhibitor type describing an inhomogeneous system consisting of an oscillatory medium with an immersed localized bistable domain. We present numerical results where several types of complex behaviour including fronts between Turing and Hopf domains, spatiotemporal oscillations and spatiotemporal chaos are found.
