摘要
This paper presents the strategies and algorithms for implementing video data into the Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) problem, with the emphasis for outdoor applications. The video information is obtained from standard cameras. Natural feature detection algorithms are implemented to obtain relative bearing information. This information is then used in a Simultaneous Localization and map building framework to bound the dead-reckoning errors. Experimental results in an outdoor environment are presented.
