Winter urban heat island and thermal environment in Xi'an City

摘要
In terms of "moving automobile investigating method", the temperature data at 280 locations in Xi'an City were collected by automatic data recorder in daytime and nighttime on Feb. 6th, Feb. 7th 2006 and in daytime on Feb. 20th 2006 under clearness and less cloudy weather. Isotherms were presented after correcting data to be synchronous. The results show that the highest temperature section in Xi'an City locates in the south-east of urban centre, and some sub-high sections of temperature lie nearby central road in north suburb and industrial estate in west suburb. The urban heat island intensity in ordinary winter daytime is about 4.0 degrees C compared to 6.0 degrees C in nighttime.
