摘要:
Face recognition is an active topic in computer vision research field. Many face recognition systems have achieved good results under controlled environments, but always suffered from variations of illumination. In this work, we present a novel preprocessing algorithm based on improved Local Binary Patterns (LBP). Extensive experiments on the Yale Face Database B show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the PCA and original LBP algorithm.
