摘要
This paper, firstly, pointed out the reactive power compensation concepts, principles and importance for safe and economic operation of the grid. It had a detailed description of the technical principles of several major reactive power compensation devices and illustrated the application of reactive power compensation on harmonic suppression, wind farm, mines, electric railway and other aspects.
