摘要：

Experience with medical students has shown that many of them have memorized the prerequisite information but some have a great deal of difficulty in using this information in solving problems. We tried to discover whether, when first-year students are given a chance to visualize the relationships between the parameters by building the concept map, this improves the quality of learning. In this paper, we describe an interactive intelligent tutoring system that asks the first year medical student to build a concept map as a way of visualizing the knowledge gained from lectures and assigned reading.
