This study assessed the beliefs and attitudes of physical education (PE) teachers towards teaching students with disabilities (SWD) in general physical education classes. Participants were PE teachers (n=472) from public secondary schools located in Ankara, Turkey. Data were collected using the Physical Educators' Attitudes Toward Teaching Individuals with Disabilities-III (PEATID III) survey (Rizzo, 1993). Results indicated PE teachers had generally favorable beliefs and attitudes towards teaching SWD. In addition, certain attributes (i.e., gender, age, years, teaching experience, experience in teaching SWD and type of disabling conditions) influenced beliefs and attitudes towards teaching SWD.
