Accurate ultrasonic positioning system for the Central Detector

摘要
Conventional underwater positioning system has no synchronization time information between the emitting transducer and receiving transducer, and its positioning accuracy is low. At present, there is no application of high precision positioning system in small range. In this paper, we discuss the design of a source positioning system based on the ultrasonic technology, aiming for a 3 cm precision over the entire 35-m diameter detector sphere. A prototype system is constructed and demonstrated to satisfy the needs of the experiment.
