The Mediation Role of Resilience in the Relationship between Self-compassion and Life Satisfaction for the Parents of Children with Autism Disorder

摘要：
The current study aims to investigate the relationship between self-compassion as an independent variable, resilience as a mediating variable, and life satisfaction as a dependent variable among parents of children with autism disorder. The sample of the study was (100) (50 fathers, 50 mothers) The age ranged from 28 to 45 with an average age 37.7 and S.D. 7.25 from some of the centres in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), Structural equation modelling (SEM) are used. The results of the study indicates that there is a fit with the proposed model that resilience is a mediation variable between self-compassion and life satisfaction among parents of children with autism disorder. The results of the study also concluded that there are no differences between fathers and mothers in self-compassion, resilience and life satisfaction.
