A New Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal Applied in Active-matrix TFT Transparent Display

摘要：
In this paper, we have successively developed a 10.1 inch transparent display based on new polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC). The transmittance can achieve upward 40%. At the same time, the new PDLC has low driving voltage and it is satisfied with active-matrix TFT display. Besides, the new PDLC applied in transparent display advantages polarizer free, backlight free, and the fabrication process don't need polyimide coating and rubbing. Finally, we also used the new PDLC materials applied in reflective display or E-paper. The reflection can achieve upward 30%.
