Research Review of M&A, Innovation and Performance

The strategy of mergers and acquisitions (M&As) have gained in popularity over the last decade. However, research on the relationship of M&As, innovation and performance has not kept pace with this trend. While there is considerable research in the area, it is unfortunately fragmented, leaving gaps that need to be addressed. Herein, we examine the theoretical perspectives and research findings on M&As, innovation and performance. Most importantly, we identify gaps in the literature and highlight some important research issues that provide directions for future research.
