ESTIMATION AND ADAPTIVE CONTROL OF AN ANAEROBIC WASTEWATER TREATMENT BIOPROCESS

摘要
This paper presents the design of a new nonlinear adaptive control algorithm that is applied in a depollution control problem in the case of an anaerobic wastewater treatment bioprocess, which is carried out in a continuous stirred tank bioreactor. The adaptive control structure is achieved by combining a linearizing control law with an appropriately state observer, which plays the role of the software sensor for on-line estimation of biological states of interest, and a parameter estimator for on-line estimation of uncertain or unknown bioprocess kinetic rates.
