摘要
Population growth is a phenomenon which leads to a number of issues. A growing population has led to a large number of people occupying public places. In such a scenario rescue operations are difficult in crowded places when disaster strikes as we are unaware of the exact number of people in the location. Hence our work considers this problem and provides a solution by designing a people counting module which can be used in public places. This system will thus provide the count and can therefore be used to employ the right amount of backup force for rescue operations. Such a system can also be used by large organizations to check out the count statistics in each department. This is a general purpose system and can be applied to different applications like getting forecast for business by determining number of people visiting a particular enterprise and so on.
